koula901 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Had one, sold it. The clip does not fasten securely to the headstock. That and the display has these arrows right and left that are difficult to zero in on. Mine was LCD also and not LED. Perhaps mine was an older outdated model. I bought it in the 90's. perhaps they've changed them since you bought it. Mine stays securely on the headstock. As for LCD vs LED, not sure what mine is. Works fine.
kidsmoke Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 The old school Intellitouch was the first headstock tuner i was aware of. Bought one in 2003, and it didn't last, (and it wasn't cheap) They were a much larger item than most of the clip on's now. I don't have a pic of mine. I love having a tuner, but hate the protrusion, and the snark is a bit obtrusive. Another reason I go for the Planet Waves Micro (in the photo i included, on the tele headstock)....you hardly notice it's there.
ridethatbike Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 My main metronome is an app on my phone, and until I bought my polytune, it was my main tuner as well.
H Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I'm surprised these never caught on with humbucker players. Schaller Frame Tuner These are £20 plus postage in the UK and are permanently installed on one guitar - I guess that's why they're of limited appeal. I suppose if you owned just one guitar it might make sense.
TalismanRich Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I also have one of these in my bag. Won it at a demo night at a local dealer. Its a bit strange until you figure out how to use it, but it sure has come in handy a few times. I don't think Planet Waves sell them anymore.
barrymclark Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Free pair of clown shoes with every guitar. I think the clown shoes would be a bid redundant. Don't you?
