HANGAR18 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Are the string saddles already pre-cut with the little notches? Nevermind. I found it. Yes.
Tele1952 Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 This is the same? (I think so) http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TonePros-LPCM04-Locking-Standard-Tune-o-matic-Bridge-Tailpiece-Set-CHROME-/300965505502?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item4612f129de I like better chrome Thanks for replys
PunkKitty Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Yes, it is. It's just a different finish. Welcome to the HOC. That's a really nice 150.
Tele1952 Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 Thanks for all. In Spain the info about Heritage models it´s very poor. I don´t understand why, Heritage guitars are great. I think that my H150 it´s better than Gibson Standard/Traditional. Near to Gibson Custom models.
PunkKitty Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 There is much information here. Stop in and say hello from time to time. We are a friendly group and are always available to help.
HANGAR18 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I want to replace the gold roller bridge on my H157 with a bridge that doesn't allow you to move the string position from side to side. I don't know how to get the string spacing on my guitar correct. I think my bridge was made by Schaller so I don't know if I need to get a metric bridge or American standard size bridge. Does anyone know?
PunkKitty Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 It sounds like the same bridge/tailpiece combination that we recommended for Paco will work for you. He is also replacing Schaller hardware.

HANGAR18 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Metric bridge Imperial tailpiece It's about time we had a sticky with the bridge and tailpiece info. Mods? I was thinking that same thing. Maybe a technical section. Thanks for chiming in H.
Tele1952 Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 Thanks a lot, Tonepros it´s on the way.
Tele1952 Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 The pickups are seymour duncan? Can anyone give me more info?
kidsmoke Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 The only way to determine for sure is to check the label on the guitar, or the pickups themselves. Since all else on your guitar appears stock, then the label info should be pretty reliable. Pull the electronics cover on the back of the guitar and see if they specified which pickups they installed. Typically, Heritage would install either SD-59's or SD Seth Lovers. Either set are excellent pickups. If they failed to include that info on the label, then at your next string change, remove the 4 screws on the pickups rings and look at the backplates on the pickups themselves. No need to worry about height adjustment, as it will not change. SD pickups will be clearly labeled.
Tele1952 Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 Ok, thanks. I see it in my next string change.
H Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Is there no Label on the cavity cover??I'm not sure that will help, Kidsmoke. The pickup rings are clearly Schaller but the pickups themselves are secured with a single screw either side. So they could be Schallers using the middle mount point (they have three), SDs or something else entirely.
slider313 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Metric bridge Imperial tailpiece It's about time we had a sticky with the bridge and tailpiece info. Mods? I was under the impression Gibson's "Nashville" bridge and stop tail are direct replacements. Is this not so?
PrairieDude Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 When I changed out the bridge and tailpiece on my 1996 H150 Special, I used Gotoh. Here's a link to the Nashville bridge I used. The maker isn't identified in the description, but email traffic with Stew-Mac says it's Gotoh. And it's metric. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Electric_guitar,_Tune-o-matic_bridges/Nashville_Tune-o-matic_Bridge.html And here's the link to the Gotoh aluminum tailpiece I used. And tailpiece threads are imperial. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Electric_guitar,_non-trem_tailpieces/Gotoh_Aluminum_Stop_Tailpiece.html Welcome, Tele1952!! These folks on here know their business and willingly share their knowledge. It does seem odd to me that the threads to the bridge are metric, and to the tailpiece, imperial. But they are. And these are a direct replacement. No need to replace the bushings.
H Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I was under the impression Gibson's "Nashville" bridge and stop tail are direct replacements. Is this not so?Yes, they are one of the options available.
Tele1952 Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 I put the old Schaller hardware again and see: I think is a problem with holes/wood or this: How can I fix this???
H Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Hola Paco, hablo Español un pocito. No intiendo totalmente la problema aqui. Es possible explicar muy simplemente en Español?
