H Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Come on, does it really matter? How it plays and feels is all that counts?C'mon man, this is SERIOUS! The public have a RIGHT to KNOW what's HAPPENING in the factory on those weekends!!!
HANGAR18 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Right, for year V, the 155th day is June 4, 2005 which is a Saturday. So that's not a solution. I have another Heritage with a W year and that is clearer but still pretty squished up. It must just be the way the stamp is made. OK, I give up. What gives with the back of the neck around the 3rd fret? Well, your guitar is the real deal, and I wasn't going to say it out loud, but since you asked, I have gotten into the habit of looking at the back of the neck to see if there is a scarf joint or not. The presence of one (in this case) would be a dead giveaway that it is a Chinese counterfeit. But as I said, yours is real so not to worry. The Chinese have been flooding the US market with fakes so it is a matter of prudence to become familiar with the tactics of the fakers.
smurph1 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Wow, how do they keep the "union" out!!!With hours like that, Who needs a union?

Fernando Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Sometimes, a Monday will fall on a Sunday. It has happened to me.
CJTopes Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I 'm glad they dont have long killer hours. It makes for happy employees. Happy guitar makers = good guitars!
Spectrum13 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 The letters tell you the year it was built. For the DAY of the year , use a calendar from 1986. What day is it finished? Me thinks when the strings are on it and the first note is played. Since the numbers are applied before the clear coat - was the coded date when the color coat is dry enought to write on. That would be prior to clear coat, drying time, buffing, installing tuners, pickups, hardware and strings.
