Is a 25th anniversary better than a regular production heritage? Why?

First Act - Heritage Model 150!!

Posted

Would you rather that Henry J add it to his collection (Epiphone, Cerwin Vega, Staton, Onkyo, Slingerland, Baldwin, Wurlizer, Valley Arts, Steinberger, Kramer, KRK, etc)? I'm sure it would suffer the same fate as Flatiron Mandolin Co.

I'd rather see the HOC members buy the company (in the event of the founders retiring) by buying private shares of stock in the company the same way there are "employee owned" companies out there, and then keep the operation going that way.

Well, if you REALLY know something, PM me too.

I don't know anything other than the owners are ALL in their upper 70s, have no one to pass the company down to, and how much longer will they want to continue???!!! I have heard rumors of "shopping Heritage" to other companies (they did this back in '07 after the fire), but I have not heard it first hand from the source. I did hear back in '07 that Peavy was somewhat in play, if this is true or how close the sale was, I don't know.

As I have been telling others for some time now (for last couple years), I would order that custom Heritage today because who knows about tomorrow. But that is all I know, and all I told slammer-head.

I think your assessment is right on the money. I believe it's a unique opportunity that could, at the very least, change at any time.

Nobody should panic. Everybody, keep calm.

Well, after the panic phase, i hope it's only speculation and Heritage live many years more... i found the answer to my question on a small video:

That info was quoted by buzzy, and he was right!
