Sugar Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Did these start off not designed by Paul C, and is there a way to tell which is which? Do they sound okay played quiet?
Gitfiddler Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 From what I've read all of the Heritage amps were designed, at least in part, by Paul Cochrane. They had a team of craftsmen...amp designer/builder/cabinet, etc. I believe they used Mather Cabs. If I'm incorrect, please chime in. Early editions of the Patriot were available either a single 12" or 2x10" combo. The next versions offered only a 2x12" combo, but had a slightly more modern looking cabinet. And yes, the Patriot sounds great at low, bedroom levels as well as cranked. Check out the thread dedicated to these fine, boutique amps. http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/24764-lets-discuss-heritage-amplification-boutique-amps/
