dry amp, verb, delay

bolero

Recommended Posts

I goofed around with some recording tests today, to learn more about miking & mixing

amp:Garnet Rebel Deluxe

cab: Saxon 4x10 with 2xWeber & 2XScumback 10's

gtr: H150, Wolfetone Legend pups

verb: Dr Z Z-verb

delay: Fulltone tape echo

mics: CAD E100 left, SM57 right, both close to the speaker. one is one a Weber & one is on a Scumback

started with the amp dry...then added verb...then added delay...it's a great sounding, crunchy amp, but the verb & delay really fatten up the sound

here is just the amp:

and here it is in a mix.....mix vol is less than just the amp so you'll have to turn up the vol a bit to get the same level

I used a drumtrack in garageband & used the DEAD HORSE bass amp to throw down a bass part. kind of hack but it works

well listening to that sober sounds much worse!! I can't even play keyboards was just trying to figure out the scales

in fact I think I'll delete it

What happens on the HOC stays on the HOC.

You cant delete after 5mins.

Good guitar sounds. Made me feel like playing guitar.

ah it was the end chord progression of a song I'm working on...over and over...and over

interesting to listen back on different speakers: I'm trying to figure out how to mix things...I need a small POS speaker to compare levels. I have headphones & monitors but it's hard to mix, I think the bass is too loud & maybe I need to rolloff the whole mix at 20 Hz
