NoSnowBlower Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Went to work. No Power,no real power anyway. A few of us worked till 10. No worries though. They are gonna make it up Friday.
FredZepp Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 It's a shame to lose time that could be spent working... but it happens and winters on the way. What kind of things are you doing at the plant nowadays...?
HANGAR18 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Went to work. No Power,no real power anyway. A few of us worked till 10. No worries though. They are gonna make it up Friday. That sucks.
Guest HRB853370 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Well, if you "really" don't have a snow blower, you are in big trouble anyhow living in that part of Michigan!!!

blueox Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Thousands are without power in Michigan due to widespread high wind storms that brought down trees, limbs, and power lines on 11/17/13 http://www.consumersenergy.com/outagemap.
brentrocks Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 hopefully its not another transformer...it could be weeks???
HANGAR18 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I wonder if a mobile generator trailer could be rented affordably.

buzzy Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 My advice is go bow hunting or shooting birds.
heritagefan7 Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Up today I hope! Hang in there--and if you gotta take 'em, enjoy the days off!
NoSnowBlower Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 Day 3 My own shop is running better. Good timing for me
davesultra Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Wow you guys on the west side must have gotten pounded. Here in the Detroit area it was kinda' bad, but at least we didn't loose the juice. Hope you guys get it back on soon!
Yooper Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 This was a significant storm. At least two deaths in Michigan, and over a half million people lost power. I noticed power out in Ann Arbor. My brother in the middle of the state just got his lights back on this morning. http://www.freep.com/article/20131118/NEWS06/311180059/Michigan-storm-high-winds

Spectrum13 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 How cold is it at the plant? I have one waiting the be buffed and my goldtop has been there since August. Should we be concerned about finish checking?

Should we be concerned about finish checking? I would be deathly worried if I were you! But if your finish checks, it will just add character!
Spectrum13 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I would be deathly worried if I were you! But if your finish checks, it will just add character! ? So if you were me, you would be "deathy worried" but I am me and ... I should be "deathly" worried? Is the plant gas heated... it's going down into the teens over the weekend.
DavesNotHere Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 How cold is it at the plant? I have one waiting the be buffed and my goldtop has been there since August. Should we be concerned about finish checking? Now you have me worried. I'm puckerd up worse than an old man sittin' in a pickle barrel. I have one in the final stages of the build too and that scenario had not occurred to me. Marv was telling me, a while back, that he has several wood burning stoves, and he heats his house with wood all winter. Maybe, he's gathered up the poor, cold, shivering, unloved, orphan guitars and taken them in, kind of like the Island of Misfit Toys.

For those fortunate enough like ya'all to be able to custom order your Heritages, I don't think ya'all have anything to worry about. And if they come in with checked finishes, you can just show them off and say "this is the Winter 2013" model from Heritage.

Winter isn't until December 21
