Spectrum13 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 For those fortunate enough like ya'all to be able to custom order your Heritages, I don't think ya'all have anything to worry about. And if they come in with checked finishes, you can just show them off and say "this is the Winter 2013" model from Heritage. Thanks for finding a turd in the silver lining.
Guest HRB853370 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Thanks for finding a turd in the silver lining. Anytime!!
Ryan Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I also have a guitar in the final stages of construction. Hope she's faring well. Don't really know if I'll be that upset to find any checking in the finish though. Obviously, I hope anyone affected by the storm is doing well too. Ryan
volhoo Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I just want to get my hands on my new H-150. Should be done very very soon. Was estimated to be sent over to Jay Wolfe before Thanksgiving, obviously this has delayed things for a least a few days. Fingers crossed.
hutch74 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Hope things get back to running real soon. I know you guys with custom orders are concerned. I would be to. But I have to admit, I wouldn't mind checking in the finish if it was one of my guitars being made . :-)
gpuma Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Mine has not been sprayed yet, otherwise I would be really worried
Guest HRB853370 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Mine has not been sprayed yet, otherwise I would be really worried Gio? What do you have cooking in K'zoo?
Spectrum13 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Gio? What do you have cooking in K'zoo? Gio, what Slammer said... out with that build please.
bolero Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I think finishes only check if there is a rapid change in temperature...like if you take the gtr from freezing temps into a warm house, and open the case immmediately if they lost power, the temp would have dropped gradually inside the building... and likewise when they turn the heat back on, it will gradually heat up the place over a few hours this is why in the winter, it's a good idea to let the gtr warm up in the case for a couple hours before opening it inside
HANGAR18 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 OMG people! Do you really think Heritage is going to deliver a crappy guitar to you and say, "Sorry, we had a freeze and so that is how your special order guitar got all F'd up"? Your guitars will be fine.
brentrocks Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I think you should all call and express your concerns to marv

Do you really think Heritage is going to deliver a crappy guitar to you and say, "Sorry, we had a freeze and so that is how your special order guitar got all F'd up"? Your guitars will be fine. Nope. They would call first and tell you that your guitar is now crappy.
Spectrum13 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Sorry I was just funning. No way 225 Parson built in 1917 has electric heat. Notice the smoke stack.

I wouldn't worry.

heritagefan7 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 When you look up the word perseverance in the dictionary--there should be a picture of H guitars.... "Neither rain nor snow nor dark of night--nor the whole corporation moving to TN shall impede the build and delivery of Heritage guitars!!!!! Go H!

yoslate Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Custom orders and finish checking notwithstanding, I hope you guys get back to work so you can generate a little personal income. Might come in handy this time of year! Hate the fact you've had to bite that bullet. Hope you get ramped up and back into the groove first thing next week!
