Hi Everyone: Happy Thanksgiving to our USA folks!!

I have a question regarding tremelo on a 150.

I went out to see a band last night. I have seen them before and the guitar player always played an acoustic. Last night, he came out with his Gibson Les Paul.

He also had a strat with him.

Both guitars had tremelos. The gibson had something like this on it,

I've never seen one of these before, just wondering if anyone here has any experience with them, putting them on their 150s?

Any feedback on quality, etc,etc?

Thanks,

Alf

thanks, good info! The last pic in the other thread is exactly what he had. Played really well, didn't seem to have any issues with volume and tone controls, etc.

I like bigsbys on my guitars, vibromate makes an adaptor that will allow a b5 top mount or a b7 tail dragger. Or you could mount a non drill tail dragger like a b3 or a b6.

It's a Stetsbar, and they are one of the very best. I've put them on many of my customers Les Pauls and 150's. They stay in tune way better than any Bigsby could hope to.

You must not know how to set up a bigsby.

I have 4 guitars with bigsbys, and NONE of them have tuning issues, at all.

They stay in tune, even when a string breaks!

And I play hard.

Alex Lifeson with Rush plays a Les Paul with a tremolo bar!

My Luthier, does all of the guitars for Alex Lifeson. He is doing a blueprint replica of the Hentor Stratocaster that Alex has, which he used in the 70s on their first albums.

Here's his website if you are interested,

http://www.freddysfrets.com

I've held that guitar in my hands but being a lefty, couldn't play it.

He has done Alex's guitars for years and I have been at his shop with mine and have seen many of Alex's guitars, including lots of his signature white Gibsons (which all needed work, every one).

I never saw one with a tremelo on it, but I'm sure he has one like you say.
