Thinking about locking tuners for my H575...any recommendations?

Which ones...106, 406, 502, or 505?

Hipshot Grip-Locks. Available in both open and close back. We installed these on about 250 guitars and the results were universally excellent. They're going on the Heritage that I just ordered.

do the holes line up?

I personally have not had much luck with Grover anything and sperzel for that matter. Almost all of my guitars have Gotoh or Schaller except for the two pin Fenders guitars. By the way the Fender locking tuners are great of you have a Fender.

Just my 2 cents.

I've been happy with most locking tuners. i have the most experience with sperzels, but pretty much all of the major makers have their own variety now. I will say that the Grovers on my H150 seem to have the most "play" in them, which I'm not entirely fond of.

I've always liked Grovers but, (wait for it..) I live in West Virginia.. LOL

In my opinion, I've never felt the need for locking tuners. I play hard on my guitars, yet they all stay in tune. Even tremolo guitars stay in tune unless I'm really heavy on the bar. For most Heritages that have a stop tail, I believe locking tuners are a waste of money. Properly strung up and stretched strings should hold out just fine.... Again, just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth...

Thank all of you. For me locking tuners 1: make it easier to restring and 2: tuning is better. But if only #1 were true, I'd still prefer them.

I think that's what I said.
