Slasher Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Anyone got any idea what burst this is?(and please no slash overated stuff we all have our idols) And do heritage make those bursts?
HANGAR18 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I believe the Heritage designation is ACSB Antique Cherry Sunburst
HANGAR18 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Oh, the Slash photo didn't load for me when I answered the question. All I saw was the signature photo. I think the answer is still correct but if you want a more faded look, the VSB (vintage sunburst) is also very popular.

He also has some which are more like what Heritage calls OSB (Old Style Burst).

koula901 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 from your original two photos: 1) with Slash - that's kind of like a light almond burst, I don't think Heritage has that exact color, but you could tell them what u want, send a pic, and I think they'll do the best they can to match it. 2) second photo: cherry sunburst. Heritage definitely does that one. Also, Heritage tends to overspray more on the edges, compared to Gibby, so, if you want it exactly like Slash's, I'd tell them to keep it closer to the edge. I did that when I custom-ordered a 150, and they did it very nicely.

bolero Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 that cherry burst looks awesome!!! I like it better than the one Slash is holding in that pic
Slasher Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 judging from this(took it off heritages web) thats the colour that closest
koula901 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 judging from this(took it off heritages web) thats the colour that closest although it will look darker in person, especially in low light. It all depends on the lighting. If you take it out, into the daylight, it may appear that color.
Slasher Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 asked heritage for a quote on a custom h150(only difference is the slash colour a rounded 50's neck and alnico 2 pups)
koula901 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 judging from this(took it off heritages web) thats the colour that closest actually, although this swatch appears to closely match this guitar, that guitar is cherry sunburst. I've seen enough of them to know.
Dell18 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Slash is shown here wearing Overated Burst. Sorry, I couldn't stop myself.
