RhoadsScholar Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 We had our Christmas Coffeehouse at Lakeside Community Church in St. Clair Shores to get an early start on the holiday's. I've been working on kinda a Chord Melody/double-stop arrangement of The Little Drummer boy for a couple of months hoping it would all come together. Wanted to take the American Eagle out for a spin. I hope I can do this guitar justice some day. It gets kinda lonely up there playing Jazz guitar. Got a little help from a great drummer. Luckily, I got the 170 LW out later in the evening and was able to rock out (but I am going to figure this jazz thing out). Anyway, thought I would share some good holiday music for the season with the HOC folks. The heritage American Eagle is going into a Line 6 Pod XT live through the house. The recording was in the back of the hall (wasn't as open/ambient through the monitors but I have a lot to learn).... Anyway, here is how it all turned out. Happy Holiday's (may all of you find something related to Heritage under the tree)
schundog Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Nice work, Bob. Now come on, give us the rockin' 170 clips!!
fxdx99 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Cool! Nice arrangement of one of my fav Xmas tunes. Well done, Bob!
RhoadsScholar Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 That is a beautiful guitar. Can't Thank you enough Mark for working with me on this one. She is a beauty.
MartyGrass Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 It doesn't look that big on you! I wish the volume was a little higher so we could hear better. The drummer came through fine, and he's good.
skydog52 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Nice job Bob! One of my favorite tunes. That great Jazz Box looks good on you.

brentrocks Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 That pic of you and your American eagle should be blown up to a 20x30 and displayed at the factory!!!
smaj Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Very nice rendition Bob ! That guitar is beautiful indeed.
Steiner Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 She sure sounds like a full sized hollowbody but looks like milli... Nice work!
RhoadsScholar Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Nice work, Bob. Now come on, give us the rockin' 170 clips!! So here is a clip with my H170 light weight in action. Doctor Mark has a very similar guitar. There is lot to like about a 170 light weight (I know it looks like a little one on me). My little one is in good hands with a fellow HOC member. The H170 rocks when I need it. Wish the sound was a little better with the American Eagle up in the balcony. It sounded a whole lot better through the monitors. Gotta do a better sound check next time. Brett, I am with you, I love that shot someone forwarded to me with the American Eagle. Thanks to Mark, the American Eagle was an early Christmas Present to myself. Here is a clip with the 170 ....Rocking a Heritage Guitar since 1987 ....
bolero Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 hey I really enjoyed that, thx for the clips!!
Billgelder Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Well done Robert. I had a Line 6 Pod XT live for years. When I played in a Christen rock band I also used it straight in the PA. Two years ago I upgraded to the HD 500 it was a huge difference. If you like your XT live you will love the HD 500.
