MartyGrass Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 He has/had a Heritage signature guitar and really is a great player. Sadly, he lost his family in a car accident a few years ago. His daughter and pregnant wife were killed. He quit playing his guitar, which was named Jacqueline after his wife. Recently he was rebuilding his career. Now he's diagnosed with a serious brain tumor. Here's one of my favorite pieces he did on his Heritage. https://myspace.com/davidpaulguitar/video/-quot-my-heart-will-go-on-quot-guitarist-david-paul/101146669 Here's the guitar.
MartyGrass Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 Here's where I learned of his current problem. You can read about it on YouTube in the text below the video, but you have to view this on YouTube.
heritagefan7 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 So sorry to hear such a tragic story---a really great player. We certainly wish and pray for the best for David Paul.
jimsoloway Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Great player. Very sad to hear about his troubles. That first video makes me wish that Chet had gone to Heritage instead of Gibson when his Gretsch days ended. That sounded much better that Chet's Gibsons ever did.
Kap Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Best wishes and hopes for his future. Lovely player
