shook494 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I just wanted to make it easier for you guys to see...... OK. I installed the following. Tonepros bridge and stop tail. Rio Grande BBQ bucker in the bridge and TX in the neck. Amber switch tip. New 3 way toggle switch. New pickup rings. I don't like these and I ordered some better ones. Built for JW Usserry with his signature. Pretty cool. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll186/shook494/upgraded1502.jpg[/img] Before http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll186/shook494/97-150CM5.jpg[/img] After all the good stuff was added. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll186/shook494/upgraded1504.jpg[/img] http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll186/shook494/upgraded1506.jpg[/img] http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll186/shook494/upgraded1505.jpg[/img] http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll186/shook494/upgraded1507.jpg[/img] http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll186/shook494/upgraded150.jpg[/img] I hope this is cool for now. I just restrung it and got her intonation right. It plays great! What a difference. I never tried Rio Grande before. I like them a lot! It sounds amazing! I wish you guys could hear it ;D
High Flying Bird Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 The new rings look a lot better. I like the uncovered pups too.
yoslate Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Well done, shook! Looks great...and I do wish I could hear (and play) it. That piece has all the earmarks of a Player! First time you take it out for a spank, and the boys drool all over it, tell me whether or not the lack of traps makes any difference! LOVE that top! 8)
shook494 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks! I can't put it down right now. It sounds sooooo much different than my other one. I know it's the pickups and all, but damn. This is the exact bluesy sound I was looking for lately. It sounds awesome through my 67' Fender Deluxe Reverb!
brentrocks Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks! I can't put it down right now. It sounds sooooo much different than my other one. I know it's the pickups and all, but damn. This is the exact bluesy sound I was looking for lately. It sounds awesome through my 67' Fender Deluxe Reverb! what pups are those, i missed that? that is a F******G sexy guitar!!!
shook494 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Rio Grande BBQ in the bridge and a Texas in the neck. Very nice. I got them on the Warmoth site for a good deal as a set. Thanks for the compliment!! I'm very happy with how it turned out. I got the original case in the auction too.
shook494 Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 Thanks to everyone that keeps looking. It's nice to have you guys respond in a nice way. That's why I like this board ;D
tulk1 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Shook, I think that guitar is awesome. And just because we know you really want Trap Inlays, here you go.
yoslate Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Shook, I keep coming back to this thread and ogling the pics. That top.... That's the top I want on my next 150!
shook494 Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 Wow Tulk. Those are silly ;D I'm learning to live with the dots. It's a really cool 150 and I'm not noticing them as much as I thought I would.
shook494 Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 Thanks Yoslate! It's way better in person. The different light makes it look cool. It's cured my G.A.S. for the time being ;D
slider313 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Shook that one good looking guitar and if it sounds as good, or better, than it looks then you hit a home run !! I could live with the dots as long as she sings the blues when you plug her in.
