yuominae Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 There are a $#!+load of Korina H137's (new old stock) with P90's, bound neck & headstocks and upgraded fretboards right down the street from me. The problem is that they are asking something like $2700.00 or more for them. But I'm sure you got a much better price for yours. Side note... This place I'm talking about ordered about 30 Heritage guitars all at once (years ago), each having some very difficult to sell options (mostly triple P90's it seems) and as a result, all these Heritage guitars sitting there collecting dust are preventing another local (and highly motivated) guitar store from becoming a Heritage dealer. The old store isn't making an effort to sell what they have and the new store down the street really wants to become a dealer but Heritage won't allow it due to the two stores being so close to each other. This "old store" isn't listed on the Heritage web site as a dealer so maybe they should try to make that happen. Oh well, not my fight. But I would like to see some new Heritage guitars make it onto the shelves of local stores. Do you have a link to their web page? Might be nice to have a look at.
HANGAR18 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Do you have a link to their web page? Might be nice to have a look at. http://www.foxesmusic.com/ I posted a photo of the guitars they had hanging on the wall in a different thread but I'm told they have many more "in the back". http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/24442-i-stand-corrected-there-is-a-local-stocking-heritage-dealer/

Thanks for the link again. Gosh, I wish I had money, space to store guitars and infinite time to play them all
Kuz Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Does it sound like Mahogany or is it very quick, punchy, and bright?
gpuma Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Sounds really great. I was actually surprised by the acoustic tone!
bluesgolfer Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Brent: I am sure you have had extensive experience on several setups with 137's. With regard to stoptails, how does the pigtail perform tone-wise compared to other stoptails? Nice looking 137 by the way. I have a Korina myself and don't think I could ever part with it.

I don't think there is a ton of difference
JackBaruth Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Raise your hand if, after reading this whole thread, your primary thought is that a swamp ash H-137 would be an interesting thing!
