bolero Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 you guys knocked that one out of the park.....exemplary!!
PaGator Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 That really turned out well, what a great transformation, congrats!
Keith7940236 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 What a beautiful transformation! Very well done
GASguy Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Your 157 looks beautiful in the cherry finish, that figured top really lives up to its potential now!
heritagefan7 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 That is beautiful Mark--and yet another top magnificent git added to the collection. If you ever decided to let the VSB go--let ME know!--Congrats on the NEW-NOS!...It looks great!
MartyGrass Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Daylight shots. It plays and sounds great. I'm able to tweak the HRWs to get a very nice, rich sound using flatwounds.
PrairieDude Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Your guitar turned out beautifully!! What a HUGE improvement!! Congratulations!!
holyroller Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Mind blowing!!! Speachless, great color change.
Mack Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Wow, that came out great! Much better than before. And I love that natural 157 with the figured top.
Gitfiddler Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 If I had a baby okra, I too would have the blues.
kidsmoke Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Nice Mark, That turned out very, very nice. Pete is a craftsman, and it's good to know when your guitar is in good hands. holyroller I saw your baby in Pete's shop before christmas as well. You gotta be excited seeing what kind of work is being done, even if it will be purple. (dohh!)
HANGAR18 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I want to buy a crappy color on a Heritage guitar just so I can have Pete Moreno do a refinish on it!
mark555 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I think the original finish was not good at all, but the cherry is fabulous. Have you thought about getting rid of the gold from the hardware, or replacing with Nickel? I replaced the gold with nickel on my 555 and I am very pleased I did.

I'm still recovering from redoing the top and need some rest.
MartyGrass Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 What's that thing by the switch? That's a Dunlop pick holder. It won't hurt nitro and hold 3-4 picks. It's great for those who switch to fingerstyle during a tune and don't want to put the pick in their mouths. And they cost less than $2.
