dcb504 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I am a new Heritage Eagle owner, first post. Tried to post a pic but unable I do so from my phone. Anyhow I recently acquired a 2004 model Eagle with Honduran mahogany back and sides, spruce top. I love this guitar. I am not the most religious man, but I do believe that it was divine intervention that resulted in my ownership of this fine guitar. Condition is mint. Just out of curiosity , anyone care to share any history about these instruments, like how much they may have sold for new? Also, I would like to add a strap button, would that hurt the value? Thanks

Thanks No a strap button won't hurt the value if it is installed professionally and doesn't crack the wood. Martygrass (Dr. Mark) has installed many a strap button on a Heritage Archtop, you might want to PM him.
dcb504 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I love this guitar. Thanks for the response regarding the strap button. I think I will leave I alone and use a foot rest with my right leg, opposite from what a classical player would do. I prefer playing seated anyway
