peterbright Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 What are your opinions of the better/best Henricksen amp? Is the extended frequency feature worth having?
MartyGrass Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Peter, Personal note: the strings didn't arrive I have the 112 ER. You can shut off the tweeter with a toggle switch. It makes a little difference in the sparkle factor but not a deal breaker without it. I like the 112 but I've never heard a 110 in person. I'm a big fan of the 112. I also strongly suggest you check out the Evans 12" amp also. You won't regret either. And don't read any one else's posts. They will only confuse you by contradicting me.
peterbright Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 The strings went first class so who knows where they could be. I generally prefer 12" speakers. Thanks for the info.

tonedeaf Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I have both in non-ER form. There is a bigger difference between the two than I thought I would hear. But it is not a "better/worse" different but more of a personal taste difference. IMHO you would need to personally try both is answer your questions.
jazzam Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I have owned a Henriksen when they first came out. There was no reverb on them in those days and it was only 60 watts. Sold it and got an Evans JE-200 and am quite pleased. The new Henriksen's have reverb and are 120 watts. I'm saving up for one.
peterbright Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 Thanks for the input. Of course I could get both.
HANGAR18 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 My brain keeps seeing Heineken when I read this thread title.
