I am new, I am still finding my way around and I am sure that the following have been covered in other posts, so if you can just link me to the right threads, that would be gangbusters, or answer with what you know.

A) What's the turn time on a custom heritage and do you go through a dealer to get one or just call the factory?

B) Can I ask for stuff like just two knobs instead of 4 on an H150? or do I just have a couple stock options and that's it?

Anything else about the custom buying experience - I'd love to know more as I am very very interested.

They will do almost anything. If you beg enough! Almost.

Depends on what you want and how far from standard production. BillGelder built a number of customs, goes through the largest dealer and has been to 225 Parsons and PSP. That's the trifecta. Whatever he PMed... word.

After my third rodeo... for best possible results, before attending your first PSP visit with Marv in the prototype room and discuss your build. Jim, Ren and Bill might be called in to consult. If your specs are reasonable and Marv is receptive, Marv takes you to the woodshed. Together you select the timber. If they do not have the wood or the fingerboard (size - inlays) the build could take over a year.. (archtop). Some items they oursource might never be delivered. When the build is worked out you at Heritage, discuss the cost with your dealer before production starts. For a 150 or semi from 12 weeks to 26 typical assume no major delays like power failure, hunting season etc. But anything can happen or go wrong in a build.

Welcome to the HOC GR81dorn - I recommend you put GreenOakGUitar.com on your dealers to call list. The folks there can hook you up.

Thanks for the info. I just scored a new H535 from Wolfe's and love it so much I think I'd want another but built with super simple changes. Nothing too crazy, actually dumbing it down quite a bit.
