RhoadsScholar Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Well the good doctor here on the HOC prescribed me a new weapon of choice for the upcoming battle of the bands. What he didn't tell me is the flametop on this thing is capable of MELTING SNOW ! Used it for rehearsal today and it sings. I love the way it has very controllable feeback due to the chambering (thinking Ted Nugent on the Bridge position). It gets a great more hollow, jazz acoustic on the rhythm pickup which adds to its versatility. The top is breathtaking. I love the trap inlays and I am sure I am getting a little more volume due to the lack of F Holes. View these pictures with caution as they are HOT
Redsand Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Your not joking when you say the flame on this one is HOT!!! good luck with your battle and for goodness sake get that guitar back in the house with out a jacket on.
Steiner Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Do I sense a pickup swap in those photos??? Beautiful guitar! Knock their socks off at your show!!!
Spectrum13 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Super flammy Millie! Like the traps and toggle placement, When was it built?
schundog Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Congratulations, Bob! That is fantastic. I like the pickup selector switch on the upper bout, like it's supposed to be. Good luck in your contest!
heritagefan7 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 A stunner. Knock them dead! +1---I think I saw the snow actually melting as I looked at the first photo!
HANGAR18 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Winner Best in Snow! Is that an Ebony fretboard with trap inlay?
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I love ACSB finishes, and that is spectacular. Resembles the finish on my 535 pictured below. Don't have me a Millie anymore so I call dibbs.
