When I bought this new it was red except for the headstock. I'm looking to make sure this was the Terminator. I know it's not the X. Or is this what would be a demo, or beginning of the Terminator. They started April 1st 1985 and this one's dated from July 16th 1985 evidently. Does anybody have a pic of what ended up being their Terminator? ...I'm finally gettin' the chance to get it restored. so I'm lookin' for info so I don't look too crazy after owning it for nearly 30 years! lol. Can ya help me please? Although I can't figure out how to put pics up here....They're to big. That still seems like it's an issue for me. lol. I'll go post some on the Facebook HOC page. I know I can post them there. If you can take a moment to check it out and let me know what ya mite know about it, I'd be Thankful.

Welcome Mike, the pics are up fine and dandy. I look forward to the reception this metal monster gets, what a fine addition to the gallery!

Sweet! Welcome aboard. That is definitely the Terminator.

Marv did the Terminators and Jim did the X Terminators.

This is my X Terminator.

The front half of it looks like mine flipped over and without the V cut into it... they have to be brothers or cousins.. or something. Did those only come in Black? That's the only color that I've seen those in.

And the winner of the metal god beauty pageant is: the Terminator.

You'll poke somebody's eye out with that!!!

Nice bit o'history you've got there. You did the silver paint on the headstock? Looks okay in the pics. Who's restoring for you?

Yea, The silver got put on the headstock with the paint job years back. I was working at a place that painted converted vans, so I took in one day and asked a buddy of mine to just paint it a different color, and that's what he gave me. I've talked to Heritage about restoring it. The paint is the only thing that's been done to it. ...so far!

I don't know... Thanks. ..Maybe I'll talk to him about it, I just feel like it should be with it's creator while it's being done. That's probably just me though! lol.

If I remember right, Pete used to work for Heritage. I know he used to work for Gibson. He has a great reputation.

I just talked with him. Thank You! He sounded pretty good. I found someone else I know that does a lot of work with him. I'm thinking I'll stop there with it also and see what he thinks about it. I did like our phone conversation. Plus he's not very far away...

That's a wild looking axe and pretty damn rare too….I like it just the way it is!!!

Why would you want to change that color? It's freekin cool, and I don't even like pointy guitars!!

lol. ...I do like the paint job, but I've been wishing for awhile that I'd just left it the original color. ..The paint did make the neck feel a little bigger which was weird at first. It does turn all kinds of colors with stage lights though!

:icon_thumright: Very cool axe! It's the first time I've ever seen a Heritage like that.

Well all of this has made me wonder... Finding out that they hadn't let to many of these out the door, I spent the past two nights searching for the others. Someone sent me a picture of one hanging in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame. I did find pics of two others, One the original orange. Pic was taken in 2008. The other was a white lefty! ...I couldn't find any info on that one. I actually did better than I thought I would though....
