tulk1 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I did this exact thing. Sent the pictures and explained that this was why I asked the questions I did prior to bidding. They have been quite apologetic about the whole thing and are working with me on it and said they were simply going off of (bad) information that was given to them. They have admitted that they miscommunicated and it looks like they will be paying for the repairs and pickup installation. I'll be sending them the invoice from the repair shop to see about getting some money refunded to cover the cost of getting it back to what they had described in the listing. If all goes according to our communications, I will be VERY please and impressed with the customer service of this seller.
aaronmarkson Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 The eBay seller has refunded me money to cover the cost of the repairs. I have the guitar back in hand with a new Seth Lover pickup in the neck, all new wiring harness, new bone nut, the original bridge put back on but with non-roller saddles installed, and all set up the way it should be. It plays and sounds fantastic, and I almost feel guilty for how little I spent on it… ok, I don't feel guilty, just thrilled to have a guitar of this quality without breaking the bank. Of course, I had to sell a different guitar to fund this purchase, but the trade off is well worth it.
TalismanRich Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 That looks excellent. If you enjoy your 535 as much as I do mine, you'll be a happy camper.
Redsand Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Glad to hear you came out a winner in this one! As you've already discovered, the H-535 is an INCREDIBLE value for the high quality and sheer versatility they posses. Your's has a nice vintage look to it's finish, especially in that last photo, my 535 is a 2009 and still has the nitro shine.
schundog Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I'm glad it all worked out for you. Man, that thing is sweet looking! Congratulations!
dbetts41 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Great job on the photography as well... good shots of a nice looking 535

That particular picture is the most accurate in terms of color too. I am super pumped to have this guitar and excited to play it out. It took everything in me to leave it at home last night, but we played outdoors in St. Paul MN, and the temp was 5° when we hit the stage. I made the right decision in leaving it home. I seriously couldn't feel my hands and fingers. It was a crazy feeling to play guitar with numb/hurting hands, but adrenaline kicked in and we made the most of it.
barrymclark Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 That is a lovely 94! Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

buzzy Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 When I picture a 535, I see that guitar. Really. Congratulations on acquiring a most desirable guitar.
Beagle216 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Heritage's finest. Nice snatch! Agreed!! They are my favorite guitars that Heritage makes. I loved the one I had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
