barrymclark Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Alrighty. That was a long, long trip. I picked up the guitar and brought it home intending to clean it and change the strings. Then I found out it had TI Swings on it. So I played it unplugged then amplified. Everything works as it should. It is a very clean guitar. A GREAT grab at $1500. I don't really care for the TI's. Putting the Chromes on it later. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
barrymclark Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 The whole gang: Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
barrymclark Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 What's most notable about it immediately is the weight. Compared to the smaller H575 it is much lighter. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
Vanschoyck Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Very slick collection you've got going there.
barrymclark Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Yep. Getting polished and restrung as I type this. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
Genericmusic Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Nice looking instrument you have there. Congratulations.
peterbright Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Looks a lot like mine except mine has the gold hardware. Congrats again.
barrymclark Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 I got it all polished up and restrung. Has a VERY acoustic sounds even plugged in. Lots of bass. Taking some getting accustomed to but a lovely tone. The floating pickup is not as robust sounding as the setin humbuckers. Expected. Very articulate. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
peterbright Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Mine has that same strong acoustic tone...I love it
Keith7940236 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Congratulations on a beautiful addition. The mahogany Eagles are really great buys and are really unique sounding also. I"m hoping you will post some sound clips of it! Do you know which of the pickups it has? If it has no red tape it's a first generation. One piece and it is a second generation, two pieces and it's a third.
H Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Nice Eagle Looks a lot like mine except for the gold hardware and the bound pickguard. Did you know that GPuma has a gold 'H' tailpiece you may be able to acquire?
Frank67 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Looks gorgeous - and a fantastic price too. Enjoy!

barrymclark Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 To polish up the metal hardware, I used toothpaste. It did a great job really. ...and the Eagle has minty fresh breath now. Once I cleaned and conditioned the fretboard, the ebony took on a beautiful deep color. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
Genericmusic Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Where would this red tape be? On the bottom of the pick-up. Probably have to take the PG & PUP off to see.

barrymclark Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Has ASB written on it. Assuming that is the finish. I am woefully colorblind but that would seem to be possible with what color I can recognize Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
barrymclark Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Has faded with time...it happens. It's relic'd. Relic'd. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk
Genericmusic Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Same pickup as mine; no tape 1st generation. Hand wound by none other than the infamous Kenny Rambo.
