shentis Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I've been wanting one of these for a long time. I realize it's just an H150 with his signature and an inlay on the 12th fret but I don't care. I've been a fan of his for a long time. My procrastination turned to panic when I realized they won't be making then anymore. Just wanted to say thanks to the dealer who made an effort in getting this to me. It took awhile but it was worth the wait. This one is all black with an ebony fretboard. And heavy! Last one out of the factory? Maybe.
Billgelder Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Is this the one we saw at PSP last year? Do you have a better photo of the headstock, and what is the Serial #?
skydog52 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Congratulations! You have a special one there.
yoslate Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Is this the one we saw at PSP last year? Do you have a better photo of the headstock, and what is the Serial #? I think so, Bill. It was on a rack in the wiring room, if memory serves.... And congrats, shentis! Fab looking Skolnick!
Guest HRB853370 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Sweet. Â I need to get my order in for one quickly....
tulk1 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Anchors Aweigh!! Love the Skolnicks. That's a special one for sure.
shentis Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 Not as heavy as I thought, Just over 10 lbs on my unreliable scale. I thought it was heavier when I first held It but I just got it in today. Dealer said this guitar was made for Alex but he signed with ESP before it was finished.
tbonesullivan Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 If that's true, then it very well could be the one we saw at PSP.
HANGAR18 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 That is indeed an awesome score! Well done grabbing that one. I'm jealous. hahahaha
DavesNotHere Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 That's beauty! Post some more more pics whan you have a chance. Your dealer is not BSing you. That was made for Alex and it probably was the last one out the door. There are a couple of shots of my son holding it at PSP this past August in this thread. Bill posted one above, there is also a full frontal shot http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/25849-very-sad-to-see/?hl=skolnick
Spectrum13 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 How cool! Built for Alex and last out the door, how does to feel and sound? Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Why the amber knobs?
brentrocks Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Your guitar was going to Alex...there were 2 of them one for Alex and 1 for the other guitar player in Testament. You were very lucky to get that...and yes....that was the last one!!! 20 total were produced. You have either 19 or 20. Â These are great guitars...I love mine!!!
shentis Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 Yes there are two of them. My cousin who plays in our band together got the other one. Both identical specs though I think his is heavier.
brentrocks Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Wow...you got them both....cool  ...here is mine...its a 2010 Â
heritagefan7 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Congrats on such a great pick up and a wonderful guitar. A piece of history!
brentrocks Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 That's a nice top on yours Brent! Thank you. I was very lucky to find this used. I bought it for $1000 less than the orig street price and it was mint. Still is, pretty much.
