gpuma Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 It's great to see two Heritages in front of that wall.
Yooper Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Cool. All those other guitars look the same, don't they?
gpuma Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 That wall is probably one of the most coveted wall of any guitar store in the country. Glad to see.they are placing their Heritages where they belong.
holyroller Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Man ,,, i gotta go down and checkbthat place out.
holyroller Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 That 170 looks like a fast playing guitar.
Vanschoyck Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I'm relieved to see there's no LP shortage to speak of.
PunkKitty Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I saw those last time I stopped in at CME. Many of the LPs on the wall are vintage instruments. CME is a really cool place.
tsp17 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 ...CME is a really cool place. +1. One of my favorites that I've visited anywhere in the country. I'm going to Memphis in the spring- please pass along any suggestions for shops and clubs to visit. Really looking forward to it. Never been there before. So much music history....
skydog Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I've heard of Amazon referred to as Best Buy's showroom. That's the way I feel about CME. I like to look at their stock, but can't afford to shop there!
PunkKitty Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 That's my issue with CME. They charge list for their guitars. The H-155 costs $3550 @ CME. If you go there to buy it or if you live in Illinois, add 10% to that for sales tax. I can get something similar on EBay for $2600.
heritagefan7 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Great representation for Heritage there! Both guitars look stellar, almost regal!
tsp17 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 ... I like to look at their stock, but can't afford to shop there! same here. awesome shop, but way too expensive for the most part.
Redsand Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 same here. awesome shop, but way too expensive for the most part. I like the high end shoppes because you don't have to retune EVERY guitar you pick up back from drop C like you do at GC……drives me insane!
rockabilly69 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 they charge way too much for guitars, I'll pass!
rockabilly69 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Someone must buy them There's a sucker born every minute!
Kuz Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 There's a sucker born every minute! How can they afford an inventory like that and stay in business if they asking rediculus prices? There must be some behind the scenes haggling .....
Number8 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 How can they afford an inventory like that and stay in business if they asking rediculus prices? There must be some behind the scenes haggling ..... That, and they cater to the affluent collector/player who absolutely has to have that "dead-mint, true vintage, only 200 made, reverse headstock version" type guitar. They have everything. The place is a sight to behold. It's impossible to exagerrate the enormity of their collection. It's the San Diego Zoo of guitar shops.
PunkKitty Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 The owner is a billionaire. CME is his toy shop.
Kuz Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 The owner is a billionaire. CME is his toy shop. Well, there you go... and like the grey pupoin (sp?) commercial, "How do you think he got so rich?" Rich or not, you still think he would like to turn over some inventory.
