Greetings!

I recently joined because I'm a jazz guitar player/enthusiast and a fan of Heritage archtops. My goal is to own one...lol

I used to own a Gibson es175 but regret selling it about 10 years ago. Although it just didn't have the mojo that other hollow bodies have with solid tops.

Anyway, just thought I'd say Hi.

Hey Mike. Hello, and welcome to the HoC. Ownership is not a requirement. But, you will eventually. Not a Jazz Player, but plenty here are.

The singer in my band owns a 1957 ES175. Got to say, that one has mojo.

Thanks for all the welcoming replies. I have a few general questions about the Heritage Marketplace. If I'm interested in aquiring a Heritage do you guys trade for non-Heritage guitars ever? And what's the opinion about listing a non Heritage guitar for a Heritage trade? Stupid question huh?

There are specific rooms for selling Heritage guitars or non-Heritage gear. If you post, post in the appropriate section. As for trading, all up to the seller/buyer. The Admins rarely get involved in the sales, except to comment most times. And it's Caveat Emptor. Altho' if you deal with HoC regulars you shouldn't have any issues. Good luck. There's plenty of great gear in the For Sale rooms.

Thanks. But my tele is never leaving my peripheral vision. But I'll definitely check out your link though...

There are a couple of great looking 575 available in the Heritage market place currently so this might be some good timing on your part.

BTW If you are a farmer and into "roots", is that roots music or plant roots?

Welcome and good luck with your search!

I'm into both types of "roots"

Thanks. I am a fan of the late bassist but the name 'friendofjaco' actually refers to my black lab Jaco who sadly passed a few years ago. I kept the user name though

Jazz player and enthusiast...with a Tele in your avatar. Perfect! You'll fit right in here, Mike. Welcome.

Well, my tele has a Lollar P90 in the neck and has a real sweet phat tone for jazz. It's a keeper

Aloha, and welcome to the group.

I don't know if I've been called on that or not...

Labs are awesome companions. Sorry about your loss

Welcome to the fray. While not a jazzer here, we both share the lust for Heritage hollowbodies and mongrel inspired monikers. I think you'll find this a good place.
