212Mavguy Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Snagged one on fleabay. What are your experiences with yours, those who own one?
Kuz Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I love mine. t really could be the only OD/Dist pedal I need. Very clear, not muddy, but not then or harsh. Great, great pedal.
212Mavguy Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 Kuz, have you ever tried running it direct into a PA using the regular or cabinet sim out?
bobmeyrick Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I don't own one, but a few days ago I saw Nearly Dan (UK tribute to guess who?) and Rob Rolph, the lead guitarist was using one. Normally he uses a Volt Overrdive Super RR (a Dumble clone made to his specs.), but for this gig he was using a Peavey Classic 30 and the Ethos, along with a Fender Robben Ford Signature guitar, and was sounding great. A very impressive pedal!
Kuz Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Kuz, have you ever tried running it direct into a PA using the regular or cabinet sim out? No, I have an Axe-Fx Standard for all my direct in applications
koula901 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 So this is kind of like a 2 -channel amp. I read that it can drive a cab, and u can hook it up to a PA.
212Mavguy Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 Mine doesn't have the power amp out option to drive a cab, although there is a model that does, I failed to win an auction on that one, the one I got is a preamp. Kuz, that makes sense in your situation. If I chose to own an Axe-fx I'd do the same thing. But I have this nice tube, boutique amp, and speaker/cab collection... I do like how using it expands the capabilities of a single channel amp, very much. Lots of sweet spots between clean and scream.
