tonedeaf Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I have had this guitar for a bit. It was a feeBay purchase that went very well. The only issue was the setup -- it was not just bad, it was downright senseless. So it has taken awhile to dial-in but the results are way worth the time. The neck and frets are excellent and I got the action just the way I like it. I am not a big fan of gold trim but in this guitar is goes well with the red-tones of the finish. (The pictures do not really show the red hues but if I use an exposure setting that shows off the true color the guitar details all wash out.) Anyway, here it is:
GASguy Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 What a beauty! I am a big fan of the 576, I think it is the "sleeper" Heritage model that is a "keeper". I would like to try HRWs in my 576 with the SD jazz neck / Seth bridge combo; my other has twin Phatcats that are staying right where they are.
Ned Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 That's a beauty. Well done. Can anyone say great snatch?
tsp17 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Awesome. I love my 576. i hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine! fabulous guitars.
skydog52 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Stunning guitar! Looks to be in great condition. What year? What is the body size on those models?
H Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 That's a beauty. Well done. Can anyone say great snatch? What a simply splendid snatch!
heritagefan7 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Wow that is beautiful--and it amazing shape! SUPERB guitars---I miss my 574 but am glad that it went to a good home! Congrats & glad that you got it where you want it!
SouthpawGuy Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Congrats from a fellow 576 owner, they are very cool guitars.
SouthpawGuy Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Spectacular! Is that a Chestnut Burst? It certainly looks like it, one of my favourite Heritage finishes.
yoslate Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 ... my other has twin Phatcats that are staying right where they are. Good boy! Glad to hear that, Ron! Hope you're still digging that box...a mighty good one! That Chestnut burst is a real honey!!
tonedeaf Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Thanks for all the great compliments. Glad to know this model gets some love here. The color is CNSB: Must be Chest Nut Sun Burst? The serial number starts with U which should make it a 2004 -- guess I bought it on its tenth year of existence. Here is the headstock. Nice touch on the truss rod cover:
SouthpawGuy Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Chestnut burst it is, and it looks particularly good with gold hardware.
