Awesome stuff, Jim. Altho' I'm still trying to wrap my head around Jim Soloway playing a Heritage guitar. Guess quality knows quality, eh?

Thanks guys. I'm having a really good time with this guitar. They just nailed the neck spec and it feels really comfortable. Hind site being 20-20, there are probably a few small cosmetic changes I'd make if I were starting over (like no fingerboard dots and one more marker on the side of the board) but it really is a wonderful guitar just as it is.

And Tulk, one of the nice things about being in the process of winding down my business is that I'm free to play anything I want. After 12 years of only playing only the guitars we built, I was ready for a change. When you get down to it, I'm just like any other guitar payer, I like to have some freedom and some choices. On the other hand, I didn't expect to settle back down with one guitar quite so quickly :)

Jim,

What nut width and string spread do you have?

Thanks.

1 11/16 width and 1 7/17 center E to center E (actually center C# to center C#)

And thanks to all for the kind words. I'm best described as compulsive player with very narrow but fairly well developed skills. My basic philosophy as a player is that the river can run wide or the river can run deep and I've always chosen on the used of deep. So I'm not at all versatile and what yu hear is what you get. My wife says that I'm a one trick pony but at least it's a pretty good trick.

I could just let this play and listen to it all day--beautiful song, great guitar and superb playing---thanks Jim!...And yes-a really great trick.

Sorry. I meant the string spread at the bridge. Mine are in the ballpark of 2 3/32", maybe a hair less. Heritage tends to notch the saddles at 2 2/32" give or take. Fingerstyle players sometimes want them wide.
