Teeky Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks Jim. I love your wonderfully relaxed playing style which can be felt as the music flows gently out of the guitar. Superb.
jimsoloway Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Marty, the bridge spacing is standard, bout 2 1/16
Ned Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 One fine pony. Thanks for posting that. What a fresh arrangement well played.
PunkKitty Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Very, very nice playing. And a very, very nice guitar.
fxdx99 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Beautiful phrasing and touch. Thanks for sharing that. And a fine looking guitar, too.
jimsoloway Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 Someone wanted to hear the guitar played acoustically, so here's a much shorter recording of the guitar unplugged. I really don't think of myself as an acoustic player so I don't really know if this really captures the guitar's acoustic potential but it's a reasonable facsimile of what it sounds like in my hands. Guest HRB853370 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Jim, What nut width and spread do you have? Thanks. Now that's getting personal!
2bornot2bop Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Darn Jim, your recorded sound, with this new 575, is simply off the charts. Are you using a new recording method? Whatever you're doin', keep on doin' it!

Whatever you're doin', keep on doin' it! Thanks Greg. My recording process is very much in transition. I'm playing through the VHT Special 6. That helps. It's just such a great sounding little amp at low volume. I've basically ditched the Apogee One interface. I've never gotten it to work right. Either it's defective or I'm doing something wrong. I'm going to take it in to the dealer I got it from this week and see if we can figure it out. In the meantime, I'm using an old Tascam interface that I had hanging around. It's not great but at least it works. I'm probably going to pick up a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 like you have this week and see if I can get a little quieter than the Tascam but between the Heritage, the C# tuning and the VHT, I feel like I'm getting a really fabulous tone to start with. That always makes recording a much easier process.
