Boytbpc Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Besides the marketplace here, Craigslist/Kijiji, and Ebay, where are the best places to find a USED Heritage H 150/157?
HANGAR18 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Besides the marketplace here, Craigslist/Kijiji, and Ebay, where are the best places to find a USED Heritage H 150/157? Brent's house.
Guest HRB853370 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Besides the marketplace here, Craigslist/Kijiji, and Ebay, where are the best places to find a USED Heritage H 150/157? Craigslist, nada, they never appear. Kijiji, never heard of. Fleabay, take your chances. I agree with Hangar, buy from somebody on this forum, especially from Brent.
tulk1 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Besides the marketplace here, Craigslist/Kijiji, and Ebay, where are the best places to find a USED Heritage H 150/157? You've just about eliminated the used market. ^^^^ Leaves, maybe, someone you know. Or stumbling upon one in GC or a Mom 'n Pop shop that has some.
chico Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Craigslist, nada, they never appear. Kijiji, never heard of. Fleabay, take your chances. I agree with Hangar, buy from somebody on this forum, especially from Brent. Watch it Will..the word "never", like "always", can get you in trouble... CL is a place where I often find Heritages for sale, when I see them I post a PSA listing in the for sale section here. The best way to buy a used Heritage is to hold it in your hands as they are all different.
Steiner Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 There's a forum dedicated to Heritage guitars, You'll sometimes find them there too.
Genericmusic Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 http://www.gbase.com/ http://www.elderly.com/brand/GUIT_heritage.html http://eddiesguitars.com/heritage-guitars/ http://www.bananasmusic.com/productlist.asp/vendorid_445/searchstring_heritage-guitars
HANGAR18 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I've bought and sold a number of Heritage guitars from/through Guitar Center. Visit the Heritage web site and find dealers in your area and ask if they have any used guitars in stock. If all else fails, do a Google/Bing search.
Boytbpc Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 There's a forum dedicated to Heritage guitars, You'll sometimes find them there too. ha, I'm looking here! I just want to cast as wide of a net as possible. What is Brent's House?
HANGAR18 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 ha, I'm looking here! I just want to cast as wide of a net as possible. What is Brent's House? Keep your eyes peeled in the ForSale/Trade section of this site for guitars listed by user "BrentRocks".
ehmanages Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 use searchtempest.. it will filter out stuff for you within the search functionality. Not a perfect search engine but it drills into the used market pretty well especially for the global craigslist posts. Kinda cool to see the variance of prices and item availability. http://www.searchtempest.com
Guest HRB853370 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 ha, I'm looking here! I just want to cast as wide of a net as possible. What is Brent's House? Brent's House of Guitars (sometimes referred to as Brent's Guitar Emporium). He is reputed to turn over the most used Heritage guitars in North America, possibly in the whole world!
skydog Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 The best part about buying from Brent is the advance notice. Watch his purchases and when you see something you like, start getting your ducks in a row. Usually you'll have about 6 months or so to save/sell stuff before he's ready to sell. At that time you can send him an offer, but this method usually costs you a couple hundred. Best bet is to wait for incurable gas/ jonesing to set in and be ready to strike!
HANGAR18 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Poor Brent. Everyone knows his M.O. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modus_operandi

Yep, his acquisitions usually are a good indicator of his future projected sales............
golferwave Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 A couple of my best were acquired from Brent. He's the man!
tsp17 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 HOC is definitely the place to be if you are looking for a quality Heritage with full disclosure and quality, reliable and reasonable folks. Finest kind.
Boytbpc Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 HOC is definitely the place to be if you are looking for a quality Heritage with full disclosure and quality, reliable and reasonable folks. Finest kind. I'm checking in daily, sometimes twice a day.
MartyGrass Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 You can subscribe to get an email every time there is a new listing in HOC. That way you don't have to keep checking. There are a fair number on CLs. There's always a few when you do a national search. I have found the HOC to be the best place. The chance of getting ripped off is pretty low. GC is a pretty good place to look also. What I like is that they will give you an in hand description. If you are disappointed you can drop it off at your local GC. I have bought 5 or 6 from GC and had them delivered to my local GC. I opened them there and had their guitar tech inspect it for problems while I was there. Happy hunting.
TalismanRich Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Yep, his acquisitions usually are a good indicator of his future projected sales............ Ha!. Just imagine what would happen if he had to adopt the "one in... one out" rule like some have had to do.
Guest HRB853370 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Ha!. Just imagine what would happen if he had to adopt the "one in... one out" rule like some have had to do. I bet his wife has tried to implement that with very little success.........
kidsmoke Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Always a couple on my Local Craigslist, but then I live in the same town as Gpuma, PunkKitty and #8.
peterbright Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 first decide what you want and then get your money ready...get ready to pounce quickly...often not much time on a great deal
