mryukon Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Was curious to see if anyone could help identify my H-150? Year made? Pickups? Neck Shape? etc. I've had this for a few years and love it.
skydog52 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Take the back control cavity cover off. It might have a info sticker on it. Here is a link for dating. http://heritageguitar.com/heritagedate.html
SouthpawGuy Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 If that's an X prefix serial number it's a 2007 guitar. Can't tell much more without some more photos.
SouthpawGuy Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Duncan pickups, probably '59s or Seth Lovers. Did you remove the control cavity cover to check the label ? .
skydog Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I hope that's not an accurate color representation!
tulk1 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I hope that's not an accurate color representation! Most likely not. Looks like a cell phone pic. 2007, so it will probably have the medium 50s/60s style neck carve. Not the thin carve they were using in the 80s/90s. Wasn't until after '07 or so that they really got much thicker. My '07 535 stock had a great feeling neck carve. Not too thin, not too thick.
mryukon Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 yeah, its not that pink. looks almost like hello kitty. i'll pop the cover off when i get a chance. thanks for the help!
ScottNaylor Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 This image was a semi-finalist for the USPS Jimi Hendrix stamp.
mryukon Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 took the backplate off and it is X serial number. says H-150 / ACB model Classic anyone know what pickups that means?
MichYank Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 The pickups look like HRW to me. Beautiful guitar - you should reaklly enjoy it!!!
SouthpawGuy Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 The pickups look like HRW to me. Beautiful guitar - you should reaklly enjoy it!!! HRWs and Schaller pickups use 4 mounting screws per pickup. i.e. two a side. Duncans use 2 mounting screws per pickup, or one each side, like the guitar pictured. Millie with HRWS 535 with Duncan '59s

Just to confuse things further, Schallers have three potential mounting points either side of the pickup so can be mounted like a conventional pickup too.
