Thomphoto Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 The case that came with my H575 is not very sturdy, and a little flimsy. I have a SKB for my Taylor, and its like a tank. Does anyone know which SKB model would fit the H575? The case for the Gibson es335 looks like it might. Thanks
H Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I think your 575 is probably at least an inch deeper at the rim than a 335. It might work if you never close the lid
soybean Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Usually, you can use any case designed to fit a Gibson ES-175 for a H-575. The only thing is the Heritage is 1/2 inch less depth, so you might need to add a small piece of foam or something under your guitar. But always try the case first or make sure it can be returned.

Thomphoto Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Which brand case did you get with the 575 ? Its a "Heritage" case.
SouthpawGuy Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Its a "Heritage" case. That's usually a TKL branded case.
Vanschoyck Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I lugged my Sweet 16 around in its factory case for years and it did just fine.
Houston535 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Be careful when buying SKB cases. I bought the 335 size one for my 555. Fit well - except the headstock. Seems a Heritage headstock is longer than a G. The guitar rested on the end of the headstock in the case rather than on the neck support. This seems like a broken headstock ready to happen and I don't need to cause myself any pain. I bought the TKL from Wolf and I am happy with it. If anyone needs an SKB that has been used for about 20 seconds let me know.
jimsoloway Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Heritage will sell you a case if you call them A standard Heritage case or some sort of upgrade? I think the standard case is OK but I'd probably be willing to pay for something better as well, especially if it looks like I'm likely to fly with my Heritage.
gpuma Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 A standard Heritage case. I think that if you buy it directly from TKL you might save some money but of course it won't have the heritage logo on it FWIW.
SouthpawGuy Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I bought my 575 Custom used and it came in a Guardian case http://www.guardiancases.com/cg044.html From the web page the model number looks to be the "Hollowbody Deep" CG-044-HD, it's the only one that is six inches deep. I wouldn't say it's as strong as an SKB case , which I have for a Yamaha SG2000, but personally the SKB with it's aluminium rim and big plastic latches looks fine with the Yamaha, but with a 575 would look too "plastic". .
Steiner Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 . I do my very best to not comment on "other" brands here (it is a Heritage forum). So excuse me if I do say that that Yamaha is a beautiful guitar! If the H-170 had those lines and 4 controls, I'd have long ago been a happy 170 player. Those are some cool, unique inlays too; love it! Your 575 Custom? What more can I say... She is the epitome of all things beautiful.
soybean Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Speaking of headstocks, Heritage actually changed the size of the headstock over the years. On my H757 from 1999, the headstock is about an inch longer than my 1995. So, i take it back about using a case for a Gibson es-175. That might not fit. You better measure your guitar first.
