Any one know of a UK official dealer. I live in the midlands. I'm not sure that 'High End Guitars' (crap name) are proper dealers. The Heritage web site lists nilch for the UK.

Thanks.

What do you mean by "proper dealer"? It's not like a typical music shop in the sense that you need to arrange your visit - you can't just walk in off the street. However I bought my 535 from High End (one of the few guitars I've bought new) and my experience was positive. No pressure to buy and plenty of time to choose the right instrument. Slightly annoying that they don't put the prices on the website, but they advertise them on eBay (search for Heritage in New Electric Guitars). The prices may seem high, but compare them with those for new Gibsons - a new non-Custom Shop 335 will cost around £2200 and you can add another £500 for a Historic. The 535 goes for £1900. Heritage guitars don't hold their resale value like Gibsons, but I assume you'd buy it to play the thing, not sell it on.

I've looked at the High end web site and it just puts me off. Why no prices? Half the listed stock has no photo's. I get the impression (wrongly maybe) that this is run by a guy as a sideline who imports the guitars but is not recognised by Heritage as a dealer/ representative. I can import a guitar myself probably a bit cheaper from the USA. I have a natural negative reaction to to the spiel on the web site, but this spin and hype is everywhere now unfortunately. Yes I am a cynical, jaded old git who has dealt with one too many pushy 'knowledgeable' salesmen. I don't mean to offend.

And finally I want to order my own spec for a 575 not buy from stock,.... probably. I might look at ordering direct from Wolfe in America.
