Doc3 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 A friend has been raving about his Dumple style amp a Sebago DT50 with one of their 2x12 cabinet. Anyone use of of these? Thoughts? http://www.sebagosound.com/index.php?id=3
bolero Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 do you think the name is a nod to SRV? I thought he used a Steel String Singer not an ODS?
Doc3 Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 do you think the name is a nod to SRV? I thought he used a Steel String Singer not an ODS?Here is a picture, the sound at the price point is what attracted my friend who compared this to other amps. I was wondering if anyone had played one. Not sure this will show up: https://www.flickr.com/photos/groovevue/6844629265/
Gitfiddler Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 My buddy, Terry worked closely with the builder until he got his 'signature' Sebago amp dialed in just right. This is a GREAT amp!! And an amazing musician pushing it through its paces.

Terry's one of my favorite players, was a stone Mesa driver for years before he stumbled across Sebago (Bill Dunham, lives in San Jose (Willow Glen)), prob'ly via Gelb Music. then a friend of mine, Mike Roberto, worked with Bill to make a really versatile rig. so he has a DT50 + 1x12 cab he calls the Ro-bago and mostly does jazz these days on an Eastman archtop. here's a clip, both guitar parts recorded through same rig: https://soundcloud.com/mike-roberto/impressions-420 i'll bet Mike could get Terry-tones out of the same setup }
