Redsand Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/26821-show-your-heritage-family-portrait-here/ What's your statement here Bill???
yuominae Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Very nice collections all I'd really like to see a photo from Peterbright here
Guitarbean Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 awesome guitarbean! That is a nice collection of archtops. So what is your take on floater vs stein pickups? And did you avoid guitars with two stein pickups? I'm all inclusive That said, I gravitate toward the floaters more often, but I've been experimenting with different flat wound strings and it's opened up my ears to different sounds. Generically speaking, what you here is true given my experience with these archtops. Floaters sound the most acoustic, 1 set in pickup less so, and 2 pickups the least. But there are so many variables, that one can dial in a great sound after getting to know the instrument. I will eventually downsize though, but it will be tough to choose.
Frank67 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Thanks for the reply! Why would one want to downsize :-)
HANGAR18 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I can't think of any other Heritage guitars that I think I would ever need. To me, I feel like thses cover all the bases I would need covered under the "vintage guitar" category.
DOGBOY Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Some family members have left the nest. Just a couple. I don't even dream this good, WOW!!
Guitarbean Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Feel free to post your group photos of all your Heritage guitars. The idea is one single photo with all of them in the same frame. Couches are very popular for such a photo. Post them if you've got them. I love that red 535.
Frank67 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Here is my Heritage family, they are all absolutely outstanding in their own special way. Finally they are all united :-) For some reason I always felt that a golden eagle is best in antique natural, a 555 must be red and a 157 must be black ... they are a family of my dream guitars. The all sound incredibly sweet and play like butter. It is such a treat to be able to play such wonderful instruments.
HANGAR18 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 For some reason I always felt that a golden eagle is best in antique natural, a 555 must be red and a 157 must be black I can't argue with that.
Frank67 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I can't argue with that. :-) ... sweet guitar in your Avatar! wanted to add - they all have similar neck profiles. I like substantial necks with a round profile but no baseball bats - these are just perfect and play soo nicely.
2bornot2bop Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 1 happy Super Eagle family! Okay, and one Guild Benedetto JSA.

Was it coincidental that we placed our black H157's and red 535/555's in the same relative positions for our family photos?
Millennium Maestro Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I really debated showing this old picture from years ago because alot of these guitars are gone now, moved on to new homes... But here is an old Family shot, the only one I have!
peterbright Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I really debated showing this old picture from years ago because alot of these guitars are gone now, moved on to new homes... But here is an old Family shot, the only one I have! I agree completly about the no dots allowed.

RhoadsScholar Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Wow millennium mastro. What a great shot. Love that collection .
gpuma Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Can't believe you resisted to stay at 19 and didn't get to 20, did you?
Frank67 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Was it coincidental that we placed our black H157's and red 535/555's in the same relative positions for our family photos? :-) I noted that too. Well, the sequence black-red-gold would coincide with the german flag ... But I am not suspicious of elevated levels of patriotism - it just looked good this way to me (it is also in sequence of body size). Your family shot also looks gorgeous!

schundog Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I can vouch for the fact that Maestro is very particular about his guitars, too, so there's not a stinker in the bunch!! About time you shared that picture, Guy! I know very few of us knew the dept of your addiction!! Haha
rockabilly69 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 The only pic I have of the two of my H150's together is with my R0 Gibson. The pic is pre-mods on the newer H150. I think it looks way better, and works way better, with the pickguard (and all the other mods) on the H150!
