donnie Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 As some of you may have seen, I recently bought this 2008 H-137 from Millennium Maestro (Great transaction by the way!). I suspect one or more of you may have owned it previously, I don't know. http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/24402-2008-heritage-guitars-h-137-tv-yellow-upgrades-1200/ I bought it really to be kind of a cheapie that I could take anywhere and leave laying around, but it has become one of my favorites. Much of that is due to it's sound unplugged. I swear I have acoustics that don't resonate like this. Well, not exactly but you get the idea. Anyway, why is a single slab of mahogany so lively? Is it just the luck of the draw on the particular piece of wood?
kidsmoke Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 just good wood, quality construction/hardware/and properly set up. I have a similar build from another maker, and I have the same reaction to it. The notes spring from the top. Long neck tenon? proper bridge install? It all contributes. Just thank the guitar gods and play the snot out of it!
Millennium Maestro Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Don't forget that guitar has Locking studs. That bridge is as solid as a rock... I doesn't hurt that I did the FULL setup! LOL
