School me on the Prospect blues deluxe

It looks more like a 5 than an S, but it could be an S.

There is a gap between the center block and the back of this guitar also.

Guarantee you that's an S. And the Prospect has a floating center block as standard. Hence the gap. I found on mine it was a bit prone to feedback. I stuffed some natural sponge under the block. Took care of it, didn't affect the tone any that I can tell.

Soybean, are there different versions of the blues deluxe?

Inside the F hole reads the following:

Ed Roman

Blues Deluxe

Model 05B

Well, evidently that's true… especially now that we know about your F-hole label. So Ed Roman must have made different models of the Blues Deluxe, but the ones like yours are uncommon. I remember when Roman had a photos on his site with about 10 blues Deluxe lined up and they all had large block inlays and fancy binding, etc. When you think about it, this fits in with Heritage themselves, because many of the models have standard and Custom levels. For example the H575 and the H575 Custom, the Academy and the Academy Custom, etc. The main thing, of course, is sound and playability.

Not sure what model 05B means. Anybody have a Blues Deluxe with a different model number written inside?
