Cajun Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I was at a Leesburg guitar shop today. They had a bunch of T-shirts for sale for $10 from many musical manufacturers. Check out this cool Heritage shirt I got. They had others (for those interested - it's Melodee Music in Leesburg (there is one in Sterling. Maybe they will mail them). Wish I could of dug them out and sold to all of you, but already overcommitted with everything. Cool shirt - interested if others have seen any of their shirts? This store was a dealer, but apparently not any longer.
Cajun Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 I can't seem to post the picture - keep getting errors... Can I PM the picture to someone?

tulk1 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I have that T-Shirt. That was part of Lane Zastrow's swag when he was the Heritage rep. Same place we got the Heritage straps.
davesultra Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 That's too bad you couldn't have snagged some. I would have loved one in a large size.
Cajun Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 You may want to contact them (Leesburg location) and see if they will ship: http://www.melodeemusic.com/index.cfm?view=contactus
HANGAR18 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 They are still listed as a Heritage dealer on the web site. I bought two Heritage guitars from them in times past. When I asked them why they aren't stocking Heritage guitars anymore (as I have done with every Heritage dealer in this area) they said "We can order a guitar for you" or something like that. I now refer to Heritage dealers who don't stock Heritage guitars as "cashieers". They don't promote or sell the brand anymore. They just sit by the register, wait for you to decide for yourself what you want to buy and then ring you up when youare ready to check out. I called the factory a year or two ago and spoke to someone at length about this practice. Makes me mad. Especially since I don't meet the criteria to become a dealer myself.
HANGAR18 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 What exactly is the criteria to become a dealer? Well, the deal breaker for me was that you have to have a store front. I would have tried to be an "Internet Only" store but they require someone to have an actual licensed "brick & mortar" store. (That's an actual industry term.) If you have one of those, then there is the minimum order to get started and then I think there is a rule about not being located too close to another Heritage dealer. I think that is the basics.

Cajun Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 They had at least one other (an XL). They had a large box full of $10 shirts that I just glanced in and found the Heritage shirt to my surprise. I didn't go through the box further when I found my size.
HANGAR18 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I'll ride out there and have a look. A good excuse to go to a guitar store.
