Ghostbound Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 About a month ago, I decided to give the fine folks at Wolfe Guitars a call in an effort to have them make the wheels turn in regards to the building of an Heritage H555. I went with a "Dark Almond Sunburst" finish, an mahogany neck, gold hardware, schaller strap-locks, and the glorious pickup combination of a Duncan '59 in the neck, and a Custom Custom (did the person who came up with the name of this pick-up have a stutter?) in the bridge. The goal is for it to be able to handle hi-gain amplification with very little in the ways of unwanted feedback, with the added warmth and bell-like clarity of your standard arch-top, while simultaneously providing me with the ability to handle jazz-like cleans and effects-laden post-punk arpeggios. It should be ready a few months from now. Pictures to follow, obviously. To say that I am excited beyond words would be a vast understatement. -Alec

Ghostbound Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 I was just informed by Sir Graham at Wolfe that the guitar is ready to be shipped from Heritage to Wolfe Guitars for a final set-up. If all goes to plan it will be in my possession by the end of next week, right after my 30th birthday. - Alec
peterbright Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Congratulations. The Custom Custom is a screamer. I had one in an H120.
Ghostbound Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 Glad to hear it. I came across a few reports that said it could be a little shrill-sounding. -Alec
peterbright Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Never noticed that problem It could take seagulls out of the sky at two miles however.
