DetroitBlues Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I'm very proud to say this is mine.... A custom order by Kuz that changed hands last year and now has ended up with me, thank you Bill! Specs are 1959 Les Paul neck profile (.886 give or take at the nut). One piece mahogany back, highly flamed near perfect book matched top in VSB. It strongly resembles Peter Greens legendary Les Paul... Even the plastic was painstaking color matched for consistency. Toss in some Seth Lovers and I have my guitar... Oh, and there is a pool going for how long I keep it. Contact Bigbob for details...
Beagle216 Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Dude!!! Congratulations!!! If you like the neck, I think you'll keep it forever!! I am excited for you!
davesultra Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 That one looks sweet! Hope the neck profile works for you!

Hfan Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Wow DB, you have hit the jackpot me thinks. That top on a Gibbie would set you back $5k or so. Looks like a keeper. Congrats.
brentrocks Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 this guitar is a fine example....I was lucky enough to sample it
DetroitBlues Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 Wow DB, you have hit the jackpot me thinks. That top on a Gibbie would set you back $5k or so. Looks like a keeper. Congrats. Yep, eat your heart out Gibson custom shop!
PunkKitty Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 It's a sweet 150. It made me decide to keep my vsb for a while in addition to my osb.
Gitfiddler Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I always read a DBlues 'NGD' thread. Typically I get at least a few smiles in the process. No other player's taste seems so specific, yet mercurial at the same time. But THIS time, I am left with my mouth wide open in awe and amazement. That is one of the finest 150's I've ever seen. Knowing it originally came from Kuz's exquisite arsenal of carefully selected and finely crafted instruments is enough to get one's head spinning. Congratulations on scoring a bad ass 150 DB!! Play it in good health.
Spectrum13 Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 How can anyone sell that guitar? + 1 Hope this is the one Josh.
MartyGrass Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 If you sell this one, you definitely need to get professional help from a therapist. If you want the phone number of mine, let me know.
Blunote Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 If this isn't 'the one', then it doesn't exist. Congratulations Josh. That's a fine looking and sounding 150.
Beagle216 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I just have got to say something again, this thing really looks amazing. It looks like Peter Green's '59 Les Paul for sure, in fact it looks better than any Gibson '59 reissue I have seen. The flame is just beautiful on that guitar. I can't see any reason this wouldn't be a permanent fixture in my collection if I owned it! Play her in good health and KEEP HER!!!!
DetroitBlues Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 I played it even more so today... It stays!
kidsmoke Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 This is great news DB. Would that we hear you tearing it up at PSPVIII, after owning it a year, and really getting to know it well
