DetroitBlues Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 It will have a slight cosmetic change this week, but nothing irreversable... You'll see soon enough.
Blunote Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 It will have a slight cosmetic change this week, but nothing irreversable... You'll see soon enough. Be careful! There's fairy dust on that guitar.
tbonesullivan Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 nice!!! welcome back to the H150 club. It's a good club to be in.
Kuz Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 It will have a slight cosmetic change this week, but nothing irreversable... You'll see soon enough.
tbonesullivan Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Ok, so lets guess: New Pickguard? Pickguard removed? Gold Hardware? New open coil pickups? Refinish in clown burst?
Yooper Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 slight cosmetic change As if it doesn't look quite right? Oh, I know. It will be the reverse of what I did to the Dot. Top wrap ahead.
DetroitBlues Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 Be careful! There's fairy dust on that guitar. Wouldn't say it was previously owned by a fairy, but he may have been a Hobbit....
DetroitBlues Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 Ok, so lets guess: New Pickguard? Pickguard removed? Gold Hardware? New open coil pickups? Refinish in clown burst? Nope... As if it doesn't look quite right? Oh, I know. It will be the reverse of what I did to the Dot. Top wrap ahead. Wrong on both counts... No plastic changes either Kuz.
gpuma Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 a refinish in pink, as a tribute to the original owner?
Beagle216 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 a refinish in pink, as a tribute to the original owner? Please, say it's so!!! That flame would be beautiful with pink!
Billgelder Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 How can anyone sell that guitar? Really, he must be a Dumb-a$$. But I did sell it to Josh with the stipulation that he does not do anything stupid to it like installing a Bigsby.
buzzy Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 That is a truly spectacular guitar. Play it, count your blessings, then play it some more.
Fernando Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Cosmetic change, not irreversible...hmmm...poker chip removed?
DetroitBlues Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 Really, he must be a Dumb-a$$. But I did sell it to Josh with the stipulation that he does not do anything stupid to it like installing a Bigsby. What? Oh, wait, its mine now, so I'm good. You didn't say I couldn't install a Vibromate, which a Bigsby just happens to mount to. Loopholes, my friend, loopholes!
DetroitBlues Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 Aww... Come on fellas... I'm keeping the guitar aren't I? Isn't that a good start???
HANGAR18 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Aww... Come on fellas... I'm keeping the guitar aren't I? Isn't that a good start??? I think ye shall keep it upon fear of being made to walk the plank into the middle of Lake Michigan if ye try to sell it.
dbetts41 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 how much does it weigh? And it has only been three days... I am holding off judgement & moral disdain for at least 10 more days...
kidsmoke Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Aww... Come on fellas... I'm keeping the guitar aren't I? Isn't that a good start??? So you've had it since thursday, and you are modifying, and have not yet sold it. This counts as "keeping it?" Just play the damn thing. I say you may not make any changes until you've done at least 3 string changes. This should be like owning a Frank Lloyd Wright home.....some governing body has to approve modifications.
