I'm trying to get measurement for the fretboard radius and guitar nut to my 2003 Academy Custom which I'm trying to see through ebay (see, Bay Watch on this forum).

I'm new to the forum, so I hope I'm presenting this according to forum rules.

Thank you, in advance.

Welcome Baci302 - unless otherwise customized (they do do that you know) the fretboard is 12" radius. The nut is generally 1 3/4" or smaller.

Thanks Steiner. Greatly appreciated. Yes, I believe Harry (the original owner) had some custom work done to it because it has the Double Vari-l-Phase switches on it which I do not believe come with the stock guitar. So it's possible Harry had some other custom work done, including the fretboard radius. I tried to speak to somebody at Heritage but got the old man on the phone and he really didn't seem interested in answering my questions. I understand he's a busy guy. He told me to send an email, but I haven't heard anything back and that was over a month ago, Oh well.

Thanks again Stein for you taking the time to respond.

My Bad. I thought you were buying the guitar.

You can measure the nut width with any scale. I'd try to be accurate to 1 16th of an inch. The best way to measure the radius is to find a good CAD program and print out a 12" radius. Cut accurate on the line and check it. I'd be willing to bet it's 12".

She's a beautiful guitar.

Best 'O luck with the sale.

Yes, she is. It pains me to even put it up on the market.

Thanks again for the info.
