MartyGrass Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I got this 1997 Roy Clark when it was too cold to photo outside. Today it met the sun. Here are all of the pix, inside and out. http://s796.photobucket.com/user/mgoetting/library/Heritage%20Roy%20Clark?sort=3&page=1 Here are some of the new ones.
Billgelder Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I am glad this was the guitar and not Roy himself.
Vanschoyck Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I am glad this was the guitar and not Roy himself. +1
davesultra Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Beautiful! I love those Roy Clark models! Didn't even know you had one!
schundog Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Very nice, Mark. I love the split block inlays and, of course, bound headstock.
tulk1 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Mark, you do find some of the most beautiful Heritages. Is this one based off the Academy? I know there are several versions of the RC Signature.
MartyGrass Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Mark, you do find some of the most beautiful Heritages. Is this one based off the Academy? I know there are several versions of the RC Signature. This is a thinner version of the H576 but with a few other mods. The scale length is 24.75", like the H576, but the RC has 22 frets, not 20. The body is 16" across, wider than the Academy. The RC has a partial center block like the Academy and the H576, which increases sustain while retaining some of the hollow sound. Mine has split block inlays. Some have no inlays, some have full blocks, and some have dots.
FredZepp Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I am glad this was the guitar and not Roy himself.
Keith7940236 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 One of my favorite Heritage guitars. That really is a beauty!!!
hinesarchtop Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Is this guitar finished in ASB, or OSB? It almost looks in between the two. Very nice looking! Hee Haw!
DetroitBlues Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I was worried at first I was going to open this thread to see Roy Clarke in a speedo. Thankfully, though it was just a sweet signature model! Stunning!
peterbright Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I am glad this was the guitar and not Roy himself. Now that made me chuckle.
Blunote Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I am glad this was the guitar and not Roy himself. So am I. I hear this is his new theme song
Billgelder Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 So am I. I hear this is his new theme song LMAO. Thanks Alan I needed that.
rockabilly69 Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 This guitar seems like a perfect gigging guitar. Lightweight Resistant to feedback Semi-hollow tone 24.75 scale length (my favorite) Fine tune tailpiece
