How much would it cost to have a stock Golden Eagle built?

I am thinking about having one built and want to know what Heritage charges for a basic GE build.

Obviously, my build will be slightly different, but I want to have a basic idea of what it would cost. Do I have to go through a dealer? I would prefer not to have to deal with/pay a middleman to handle my transaction. Also, why don't Heritage post prices for their guitars?

I'm looking to get a GE with two pickups built in like the L5 CES.

I believe you have to go through a dealer, but there are some fine ones. An email to one of them would give you a ball park on the cost.

Broyale,

I'm currently waiting for my first Heritage build, an Eagle Classic. For any new build you will have to use a dealer, I don't think there is any way around it. I would definitely get several quotes because they are not all the same (although the ones I spoke to were in the same ball park). A stock GE is going to run around $4.5k. If you want two set pickups you may want to consider an Eagle Classic with upgraded binding and inlays. The stock EC goes for $3.6-$3.9k and uses the same wood/body dimensions as the GE. If you aren't in a hurry keep an eye on the for sale forum here, I've seen several beautiful Eagles sell for much less than a new one. Good luck!

One more thing: This is a great place for information. There are many people here that are much more knowledgable than me and they have been very helpful!

I looked at the Eagle Classic, but its has laminate back and sides which is a no-no for my guitar (or any guitar over $600, IMO). Its gotta be an all solid, carved GE with two pickups.

As one who has bought two new GEs (but it has been several years) the cost was approximately $4,250-4,500

The Eagle Classic is not laminate, all solid wood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Eagle Classic Specifications :

25 -1/2” scale

20 fret bound ebony board

5 piece curly maple neck

17” body width with 3” rim

20-1/4” body length

Solid carved, white bound spruce top

Curly maple white bound back and rim

Gold hardware

...that means "laminate" to me. It doesn't say solid carved or at least solid.

That description is a puzzler, and worthy of a query. You could call the factory and they would clear that up. But if you look at this one that is currently for sale on gbase http://www.gbase.com/gear/heritage-eagle-classic-2013-sunburst# you can see in the photo that it has a two piece back, which is associated with solid backs. A laminate would most likely be one piece.

Naaaahhh, don't trust it. If it don't say "solid carved", its not solid carved....or solid.

Trust what NoSnowBlower says. He's one of the guys at the factory who MAKES them!

Heritage will specify when its a laminate, as in the 525 and 535s. BTW, laminates are not a bad thing, it just what voice you want from the guitar.

This, period.

Broyale,

Aside from the binding (which can be upgraded), top bracing, and pickup configuration the bodies on these two guitars are identical. Call Heritage, or a dealer, or someone you trust and they will tell you the same thing.
