randy2270 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I just got a SWR Strawberry Blonde , it sounds amazing with the Sweet 16. Real quiet and full. I think I like it better than the the polytone, just don't tell Joe Pass I said that. I will post some photos in a few days.
Gitfiddler Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 +1. I've used my old SWR Strawberry Blonde with acoustic guitars, jazz archtops, basses, keyboards and drum machines. All sounded great! The secret is to learn how to mix (in or out) the piezo horn and twist the very responsive EQ knobs to get the best tone from each application. Congratulations!
randy2270 Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 yeah, that -6db switch really does the trick, we plugged the bass into it and it also sounded good, I was surprised.
hinesarchtop Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I just ended up with one too. We'll have to share information.
rockabilly69 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I've owned one, and the trick with piezo is right on!
randy2270 Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Sorry for the delay on this, it takes a while to break out the camera sometimes. The cabinet is actually the one I use for the Polytone, but I am gonna make another one with the White tolex and diamond pattern grill.
