JoeAltmann Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 hi, im new here and new to heritage guitars. i'm considering buying a 535 and currently looking for one on ebay. they are all around $2000, is that a good price for a used one? i dont really wanna buy a new one but i also dont really know from what year i should get one. are the new ones as good as the old ones? whats a good year for a 535 thank you very much
tulk1 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 No idea about the prices. But the 535 has been a very solid build (ha! )for Heritage from day 1. Don't think there's a bad year for them.
chico Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Used, I'd say look to find one in the 1400 range. + or - No reference to the one you quoted, just a general observation. Others buy and sell here more than I. Welcome by the way let us know what you get and keep an eye open on this FS board too.
TalismanRich Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 The 535 is one of the "go to" guitars for a lot of us. Its versatile, plays great and readily available. Watch the for sale section here on the board... they pass through on a somewhat regular basis. $2000 seems high unless it has special appointments, like a 555, or special pickups, like Throbaks which will add a couple hundred to the cost. Average prices here seem to be around $1500. There's a 2010 listed right now by Memphis. Remember you probably won't have to pay for someones Ebay and Paypal fees here. Check Reverb.com also.
noonesperfect Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Prices we discuss here are typical for the U.S. Prices in Europe, Japan and other countries tend to be higher due to taxes and duties. Where are you located?
High Flying Bird Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 The 535 is my first pick when I decide to pick up a guitar.
BlueDeluxe535 Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Hi, as you may see my avatar, i m new here. Just ordered my 1st heritage H535 vintage sunburst. But i see some different burst out there... Some are darker, some are lighter like a lemon burst....

LRS Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Another question from another newbie... Do 535s have a typical neck profile? I truely love the fat neck of my H150, and consider to buy a 535, but I can't stand '60s slim taper. Anyone? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
