Wavenug Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 This is my first post on this forum. I am buying my first Heritage guitar soon. I am looking at having a 150 cm built. Any words of wisdom for a newbie?

RSquared Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Who are you buying the 150 CM through. They can be a tremendous source of information when deciding on custom builds. I purchased through Wolfe guitars and his appointments (Bits and Pieces) are fantastic. I love my 150! Also there are those in this club who have extensive experience with custom builds. And their willing to share. But in the end, it will be you who has to make the decision. Enjoy the process!

Redsand Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Any words of wisdom for a newbie? I would advise NOT sticking your neck out for anyone named Slammer. Welcome to a "generally" great forum!
peterbright Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Good luck with your build. If you let us know what you are trying to accomplish, we might have real suggestions.

kidsmoke Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 If you're thinking custom, choosing a vendor is an important step. They may just have what you want on hand already. other suggestions have/will be made. Here's mine. http://www.greenoakguitar.com/ In the words of the great Ronnie Isley... it's your thing. do what you wanna do.

Wavenug Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 I ordered my first custom today from Wolfe Guitars. A Heritage H157 with a premium top. I think the color is vintage wineburst or something like that. Good thing I play lefty, cause that shop is too close to my house for me to not go broke. Now, what to tell the wife...

Vanschoyck Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Now, what to tell the wife... Uh oh . . .

I think the color is vintage wineburst or something like that. Good thing I play lefty, cause that shop is too close to my house for me to not go broke. Now, what to tell the wife... Don't worry about cancel fees.... just put on those puppy dog eyes and try to tell her with a straight face " .. but Dear, this is the last guitar I'll ever need." It will be tough not to let out a little snicker. Then I would try to introduce her to LeftyAxeMan's wife. http://t.co/E8uC6AwQK2 Maybe she'll feel guilty for not thinking of it first. If none of that works, start shopping at jewelry stores for the next month! Enjoy your new guitar when it arrives!
