FirstLoser Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Hi - is there a way to determine which craftsman made my guitar? With the serial number? Just wondering, as I recall the salesman telling me it was a guy named Paige who made guitars for all the greats. Story goes, mine was made for one of the Brookes & Dunn guys, but he opted for a different color...wondering if I can verify that.
bolero Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 well, I believe Bill Paige deals with most of the accounting, but they may have hauled him into the back and "put him to work" on some of the guitars? I suppose you could date the gtr with the serial, then try & research who was working at the plant, at the time

HANGAR18 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Watching the people at Heritage make guitars, I believe the most common practice is to have each guitar pass through different stations where each station has a person who usually sticks to that one particular station. So that would mean that your H150 was likely a team effort.
DetroitBlues Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Just know that every Heritage passes through the hands of some of the best guitar craftsmen (and craftswoman) in the world. Be satisfied knowing that and rock on! OH, and we need PICS!!!!!!!!!!

Different people do different things in the build process.
FredZepp Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 The serial number won't provide much info other than the date it was completed. ... Be sure to check the label that is likely in the control cavity.. there may be more info there... or not.
FirstLoser Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 LOL - thanks everyone. Here's the Blue Breaker... 036006

buzzy Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 That's a beautiful blue guitar. The 'team' at Heritage does great work! Welcome! I too would appreciate a deeper connection with my 150 by knowing who was involved with the build. PSP must be awesome.
FirstLoser Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 Thanks everyone - I love it. Just got done playing along with some old Journey backing tracks. Heritage driving through a Marshall simulator...Don't Stop Believin'!
Gitfiddler Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I have a dumb question...Who made my Gibson?! Answer...Nobody knows for sure!! I guess that makes all of our posts responding to "Who made my Heritage?" even more intriguing. And I'm not a Gibson hater.
pressure Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 It depends how old your Gibson is. It's possible it was made by some of the people at Heritage.
