big bob Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 What a great guitar... I know I'm just killing you jazz guys, but who cares...played the sweet 16 and the stat deluxe, but mostly the sweet 16. Here is the set up 16 into the vintage pedal board ( 16>mxr phase 90> soldano gto> demeter fat overdriveulator > deluxe memory man > EB volume pedal) pedal board into a Carr Slant 6v through a weber 2x12 with 2 100 watt fane copy's. The sweet 16 with the soldano the demeter and the memory man...... What a perfect Soud... And loads of usable feedback... Screw the jazzers... Sweet 16's Rock..

I confess that I have been known to play a Super Eagle with far more effects than that but not when playing Autumn Leaves.
DetroitBlues Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Screw the jazzers... Sweet 16's Rock.. I think George Thorogood and Ted Nugent will agree with you. As do I...
Gitfiddler Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Blasphemy! But it sure sounded like you had a great time with your 16, Lance. Just don't you dare put a Bigsby on her!
Ned Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Think of the tone with a checker board pick guard.......
hinesarchtop Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 No shame Bob. I've used Sweet 16's the same way. I had one with X bracing and a single neck pickup routed in. Even though it was small it sounded as good as my L5. Scotty more sounded pretty good with an archtop right? Lenny Breau played all his styles with one too. They are far more versatile than people realize sometimes. Rock on Bob!
Millennium Maestro Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 That's my Boy! I love it.... I am glad you have bonded with your girl. Now lets really push the tides and install a bigsby with EMGs.... You can cover every territory then. Have the time of your life in FLA... see you in say 10 months?
big bob Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Did I say YET I'm having trouble posting pics lately, must be my reliance on the iPad.
barrymclark Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Had no idea you got an S16! Very cool!
yoslate Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Think of the tone with a checker board pick guard....... "The horror! The Horror!"
